Welcome to Vietnam! We'll meet and welcome by Noi Bai Airport, Hanoi Capital. You will be transferred to the hotel, with the rest of the day at leisure. We will have a welcome dinner in the evening.
Today we will make an early start from your hotel at Hanoi Capital to Van Long Nature Reserve, located in Ninh Binh Province. This area is the largest wetland nature reserve in northern Vietnam. We will arrive in time to begin our exploration of this beautiful wetland.
We will have a full day to explore Van Long Nature Reserve, the largest wetland nature reserve in northern Vietnam. Here we will take a sampan to the dramatic limestone cliffs that home to the Critical Endangered primate “Delacour's Langur”. This species is endemic to Vietnam and is found only in the North-central part of the country. One of the interesting facts about this species is its local name “voọc quần đùi trắng” (loosely translated as “langur with white pants”) – derives from the sharply delineated markings, which give the visual impression of a predominantly black monkey wearing a pair of knee-length white shorts.
After getting our main target in Van Long Nature Reserve, we will drive back to Hanoi’s Noi Bai airport for a domestic flight to Da Nang City for our next targets. Night at Da Nang City.
We will have two full days to explore Son Tra Nature Reserve, only half an hour from Da Nang City. This Reserve is a beautiful peninsula, the only peninsula in Vietnam that has a natural forest ecosystem associated with the sea. Especially, this area is also considered the kingdom of the “Red-Shanked Douc Langur” - Indochina’s endemic primate which is a species that could face extinction in the near future without proper conservation efforts. This area is also the best and easiest place in the world to observe this wonderful primate in its natural habitat.
After a morning round for “Red-Shanked Douc Langur” at Son Tra Nature Reserve, we will drive to the Da Nang Airport to take a domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Then, we will go straight to Cat Tien National Park for a 3 nights stay. Night at Cat Tien National Park.
Today we will have two full days to explore Cat Tien National Park, one of Vietnam's most important protected areas. Our main targets in this wonderful park will be the Critically Endangered “Black-shanked Douc Langur”; the beautiful and Endangered “Yellow-cheeked Gibbon” (is known by many names, including the gold-cheeked, red-cheeked, or buff-cheeked Gibbon); And with a lucky we will see the rare and shy “Annamese Silvered Langur”. You also have a chance to see other species such as Pygmy Loris (need very luck), Long-tailed Macaque, Northern Pig-tailed Macaque. Nights at Cat Tien National Park.
After getting our main targets in Cat Tien National Park, we will drive to the Ho Chi Minh City for your international departure flights.
